Michael Kagan CERNAN (Black)

Known for his dramatic paintings of humans pushing the boundaries of exploration and physical stamina, Michael Kagan's arguably most celebrated body of work reflects on the physical and emotional journey that accompanies expeditions into space.

Kagan's modeled his first sculptural edition "CERNAN" on an image of astronaut Gene Cernan who, during the Apollo 17 mission in 1972, became the eleventh person to walk on the Moon.
