Diver is a portrait of a strong woman. It draws from various sources of inspiration such as Cha’s grandmother who worked in fish factories after having immigrated from South Korea, as well as the sea divers in Jeju Island known as Haenyeos, meaning “sea women”, whose livelihood consists of harvesting from the ocean.
